Main Article Content
Abstract
The significant technological development taking place today poses serious challenges for management, not only in terms of finding adequate answers, but also in terms of maintaining competitive technological capabilities. Industry 4.0, digitalization, social changes related to the human base, their speed and uncertainty are just a few of the many technical and social trends that make their effects felt in the life of an organization every day. The strategic decisions related to technology, the resulting technological capabilities, the technological competence, and the achieved business results all independently create new challenges for technology-intensive enterprises, but the coherent and integrated management of these areas is an even more difficult than ever before. The present paper builds on the results of the authors' previous research, during which they examined the scope of forecasting problems of new technologies, in order to develop the possible management responses. The research presented here deals with the issue of the relationship between management challenges related to new technologies and the company business results. In connection with an experimental survey, it wishes to present the possible directions of examination and analysis of publicly available data, through specific examples, so as to designate potentials for further research.
