Instructions for authors

The full papers of the oral and poster presentations of the Wellmann International Scientific Conference will be published in the electronic issue of the Review on Agriculture and Rural Development with ISSN.  The publisher will accept only papers that have not appeared in any other publications and they are not under publication process either.

Author(s) should suggest at least two reviewers (name and email address) in "Comments for the Editor" box.

Please do not forget to add all of the coauthors (Enter Metadata/List of Contributor/ Add Contributor)!

Authors are asked to follow the instructions below:

  • The manuscript must be written using the Manuscript Template provided, which cannot be edited.
  • The template can be downloaded here: https://mgk.u-szeged.hu/wellmann/manuscript-template
  • In the case of non-compliance with the formal requirements (not using the specified template), the author(s)' thesis will not be accepted for publication!
  • The length of the manuscript should be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 pages.
  • Titles should be concise, consisting of maximum of 2 lines. After a line spacing the authors' names should be typed centred. Use numbering in superscript to connect the authors to the affiliations. The place and address of employment of each author are also centred and should be written beneath the authors' names after a line spacing, using normal characters. The next line should be the corresponding author’s e-mail address in normal letters, centred.
  • Astract follows the title and address data after two lines spacing. The Abstract should be a single paragraph of at least 150 words and no more than 250 words.
  • Keywords (3-6 keywords) should be given in English after the Abstract.
  • The articles should consist of the following sections:

  • Introduction: The introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it is important. It should define the purpose of the work and its significance. The current state of the research field should be carefully reviewed and key publications cited. Please highlight controversial and diverging hypotheses when necessary. Finally, briefly mention the main aim of the work. As far as possible, please keep the introduction comprehensible to scientists outside your particular field of research.
  • The citations listed in the References must be cited in the text of the manuscript by specifying the author(s) and the year. No parentheses are used when the name is highlighted.
  • Materials and methods: This section should contain the description of all materials and procedures used in the experiment(s) or investigation(s) involved, together with any biometrical methods applied, the size and traits of sample, and all the significant circumstances and information about the work. Interventionary studies involving animals or humans, and other studies that require ethical approval, must list the authority that provided approval and the corresponding ethical approval code.
  • Results: This section may be divided by subheadings. It should provide a concise and precise description of the experimental results, their interpretation, as well as the experimental conclusions that can be drawn. The results obtained should be presented with relevant tables and illustrations that can help understanding. Reference should be made in the text to the tables and illustrations used, but repeated statements should not be made of the data contained in these.
  • Discussion: Authors should discuss the results and how they can be interpreted from the perspective of previous studies and of the working hypotheses. The findings and their implications should be discussed in the broadest context possible. Future research directions may also be highlighted. Conclusions section is not mandatory but can be added to the manuscript if the discussion is unusually long or complex.
  • Acknowledgements (if relevant): In this section, you can acknowledge any support given. This may include administrative, technical and financial support, or donations in kind (e.g., materials used for experiments). If possible it should not exceed six lines.
  • References: All publications cited in the text should be presented in the list of references, arranged in alphabetical order.
  • For an article: name(s) of author(s), year of publication, title of article, name of journal, volume, number and pages as shown in the examples above (Gál et al. 2013, Proulx & Mazumder 1998, Tamm 1956).
  • For a book: name(s) of author(s), year of publication, title of book, publisher, place of issue as shown in the example above (Bakker 1989).
  • For a book chapter see the example above (Pickett 1989).
  • When referring papers published in the same year by the same author(s), letters a, b, c, etc. should follow the year of publication (e.g. Apple 2016a,b).
  • The journal has a DOI number and you can find it in the CrossRef system. Accordingly the Author(s) have to check the DOIs of their every references in the http://search.crossref.org/references site and put the DOI links after the exact reference in the following: Ayliffe M. A., Lagudah E. S. (2004). Molecular genetics of disease resistance in cereals. Annals of Botany.94: 6. 765-773. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.1093/aob/mch207
