Abstract

The supply chain disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic are of unparalleled magnitude due to the confluence of circumstances: pandemic-related shutdowns, the geopolitical situation, labor shortages, and even the weather have had a significant impact on supply chains around the world. The following can be observed in their impact: supply chain bottlenecks, costs and disruptions. In response, organizations are trying different strategies: supplier sharing and vertically integrated supply chains. It can be concluded that the changes caused by the epidemic make global supply chains shorter and more transparent through renewed strategies such as digitalization.
