Developing Future Employees' Digital Competence With the Help of Business Simulation – The Smart Shop Floor Lab

Abstract
Infocommunications and technology developments, innovations, digitized processes and the availability of increasing amounts of data related to the operation of companies and in the corporate environment also have an impact on the supply chain. Supply chain actors need to proactively use these innovations if they want to remain competitive. This also requires developing the digital competences of current and future employees in the most effective ways possible. In simulation training environments, it is possible to work with the most modern tools, methods and technologies used in industrial environments, so the development of digital competencies is realized in a complex way. We present such a realized educational environment, which was created in cooperation with the Budapest Business School and Robert Bosch GmbH.
