Planning for Production Capacity Installation and Selection Criteria for Sustainability

Abstract

We examine developing a building technology for sustainable modern construction. Wellknown fact is that our built environment assigns our living for one hundred years at least, so it is not irrelevant how future-proof and eco-friend the technology we used.
Main product of examined company is called ‘green concrete’. This kind of concrete is called ‘green’, because it doesn’t contain Portland cement. Producing 1 ton Portland cement emits 1 ton CO2 that is not sustainable.
We approached the problem via holistic way to find the best place to set up our factory and use LEAN principles in production and logistics as well.
First, we tried to identify the risks, and seek solutions; finally, we made a list of features of ideal site.
At the end of the project, we found the suitable place to build the factory.
