Szőke, Dávid is an Assistant Professor in  the Language and Literature Institute of Nyíregyháza University. He earned his PhD in Comparative Literary Studies, University of Szeged in 2021. He conducts research in English, German, and Hungarian literature, as well as in the fields of transculturalism, film and theater studies, gender studies, and minority studies. In 2022, he focused on the social role of European Roma theaters under a five-month State Eötvös Scholarship. Currently, as the head of the ISCAPE - Interdisciplinary Studies in Climate, Arts, Politics & Education research group at Nyíregyháza University, he examines the connections between ecology and humanities.
