They experience difficulties in recruiting, retaining, motivating and managing them. And the relevant literatures have also found that the younger generation as a whole has more difficulty in managing (workplace) stress. Based on a questionnaire survey of 127 employees working in HR or in managerial positions, this study shows how Generation Z employees differ in their experience of certain workplace stressors compared to previous generations. The sample was almost equally split between SMEs, large corporates with less than 500 and more than 500 employees. The results of the study show that Generation Z is more different from previous age groups in terms of the factors that cause work-related stress, such as lack of pay transparency, lack of career development opportunities and monotony, i.e. activities that are stimulating or seem meaningless. Overall, the medians of all stressors showed a positive divergence in the responses of the respondents.
Beáta Pózner Copyright (c) 2025 TAYLOR 2025-05-27 2025-05-27 16 2 9 22 Corporate Tax as an Indirect Way of Sponsorship in Hungary and its Effects on Sport Sponsorship Market https://analecta.hu/index.php/taylor/article/view/45805
The sport finance system in Hungary went through a big change, when the right-wing party Fidesz won the elections and formed a government in 2010. They declared sport as a strategic field of society and decided to start development programs, allocating significant financial resources to them. To support spectator team sports, the possibility of channelling a certain percent of the corporate tax from profitable companies directly to sport was created. Since the companies could also record a tax reduction, it became a win-win solution for the grant providing company and the sports organization receiving the support, while the government is falling out of this tax amount. Since the system was introduced in 2011 – after the European Union’s approval – it has provided a wealth of lessons learned, with countless debates of its professional, financial and even moral effectiveness. But can this form of financial support be compared to real sponsorship? Did it fulfil its role in making a stronger relationship between sport organizations and enterprises? What happened to the real sponsorship deals, and what would be the case if the government withdrew the possibility? This essay tries to find answers to these questions. First of all I make a short introduction on Hungary’s sport system and the current environment, then describe how this process work and summarize the previous articles and research on the system. Finally, I conducted interviews with involved sport leaders and would like to present the results.
Zsuzsanna Bukta Copyright (c) 2025 TAYLOR 2025-05-27 2025-05-27 16 2 23 35 Talent Management in Basketball https://analecta.hu/index.php/taylor/article/view/45900
The Hungarian Basketball Association has strengthened the system of traditional association youth development system with an accredited academy network, which system is complemented by state-recognized academies also. The survey, which asked all the direct stakeholders of the youth development system, analyzed the comments related to the talent management process and the factors affecting success. Among the success factors, the coaches consider the players’ positive character traits to be the most important, followed by the coach’s motivation, methodological knowledge, and professional knowledge. Among the influencing factors, the coaches rated the role of managers the lowest. According to the coach’s answers, becoming a successful coach is mostly determined by the coach’s pedagogical and psychological knowledge. Although the coaches attach special importance to pedagogical and psychological knowledge, the qualifications do not substantiate this opinion.
Anikó Lukács Zsuzsanna Gősi Lili Kassay Copyright (c) 2025 TAYLOR 2025-05-27 2025-05-27 16 2 37 49
