Absztrakt
The European Community has launched a comprehensive economic, organizational procedure, which took aim at people with different disabilities so as to integrate them into the society. The European and Hungarian educational laws rule the integration of the SEN-students into the mainstream classes so as to secure the equity in their childhood. Literature claims, despite this aim the cohesion index of the SEN students reduce, comparing with their mainstream peers in their classes. The aim of this study is to compare the cohesion index of the students with special educational needs (SEN) (aged 7-15.) in the experimental primary school (Ferenc Móra) with their mainstream peer students in their own classes. 92 SEN students and 232 mainstream students completed the questionaire in may 2015. The questionaire contained 18 sociometric questions targeting the cohesion index of the participants. The study shows significant differences between SEN and mainstream students, which means SEN-students with lower cohesion index are isolated in their own classes.
