The journal launched by the research team, which is published twice a year, aims to meet these objectives by providing a forum for the contributions of both national and international researchers.
Szegedi Tudományegyetem Juhász Gyula Pedagógusképző Kar hu-HU Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2786-3484 Oktatási hálózatok a digitális korban https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46039
School and teacher networks play a crucial role in educational innovation and the sharing of pedagogical knowledge, creating an ecosystem that fosters experimentation and the adaptation of new solutions tailored to local needs. The rapid advancement of information and communication technologies has had a particularly strong impact on network operations: digital platforms and collaboration tools now enable participants to connect with each other and access shared resources flexibly, beyond the limitations of traditional physical presence. Based on document analysis, secondary analysis, and interviews, this study examines the functioning of four networks—two international and two domestic—characterized by technological development.
Ágnes Muth-Fazekas Nóra Fazekas Tamás Kersánszki Katalin Tóth-Pjeczka Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 34 55 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.34-55 Language acquisition and media https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46026
In the advanced world of information and communication technology, the frequency of screen use has become a critical issue in the process of child development. Numerous studies suggest the adverse effects of regular screentime on neurological development, with implications on the onset of speech. The diverse levels of linguistic development in children entering kindergarten are quickly noticeable, with the extent and nature of these differences influenced by environmental stimuli in addition to individual aptitudes and hereditary factors.

The aim of this study is to determine the number of children with delayed speech development entering kindergarten in a specific region, and to compare this with screen usage habits defined in the literature. We will review in detail the changes in the extent of language delay, regular screen use, and its consequences, supplemented by our own sample data. The extent of vocabulary growth determines later learning abilities, comprehension, reading, and spelling skills, while also affecting adaptation to the kindergarten community.

The rapid advancement of information and communication tools and their integration into the everyday lives of increasingly younger age groups should also be examined in relation to language development. A natural response to the high proportion of linguistically delayed children is a review of kindergarten pedagogical methods and an exploration of innovative opportunities for vocabulary expansion.
Nikolett Fogarassy Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 56 69 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.56-69 Methodological and curricular innovations at the teacher training institute in Szeged between the two world wars https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46038
My research focuses on the operation of the Royal Catholic Teachers' Training Institute of Szeged between the two World Wars, based on the materials of the Hungarian National Archives of Csongrád-Csanád County and the Diocesan Archives of Szeged-Csanád. By exploring the topic, a deeper understanding of the contemporary professionalisation processes of the teaching profession can be achieved, if the institution is seen as a special arena for the formation of professional identity. In Szeged, the contents and methodology of basic education were renewed in their own image, textbooks and task collections were prepared on the basis of the latest scientific findings, and a long unique guidebook was published. They have created a professional workshop that has been able to create an individual image and at the same time influence the national professional public.
Nelli Pelesz Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 70 89 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.70-89 Discipline versus education – Teachers` view in light of changes https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46031
It is difficult to keep up with the effects of the changes that are stirring up the societies of our present world, for a player who is forced to cope at all levels of education, be it a student or a teacher. Therefore, it is a legitimate question as to how the innovation processes taking place in our time influence the thinking and involvement of teachers - in our research, university lecturers - in their professional commitment to help the social integration of young people. The results of the qualitative analysis of interviews with nearly 90 university lecturers over six years provide insight into how the lecturers express their beliefs, namely the challenges posed by technological development, the transmission of traditional values, the dilemma of whether to discipline and/or educate, and in general is it necessary to discipline. During the interviews, it became clear that there are divided opinions on how to prepare students for community life and a place in the professional environment. There are those who completely reject the raison d'être of education, but still educate with their individuality and example, and there are those who explicitly assert the importance of education. The research suggests that no matter what technological changes we face today, there are universal values that a teacher is tasked with conveying in the same way as a hundred years ago, because it is done for the sake of our survival.
ERZSÉBET MÁRIA JÁRMAI Ágnes Végh Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 10 33 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.10-33 A technológiai fejlődés pedagógiai és szabályozási aspektusai az oktatásban https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46027
From the modern era onwards, from the 17th to the 18th century, European culture can be considered unique in its critical engagement with tradition and in the creation of a new set of values and a new world-view, closely linked to technological innovation. This has shaped the current values of the European Union. Focusing on modern European values, this paper aims to explore some aspects of the dynamics of tradition and innovation.
Edit Újvári Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 90 100 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.90-100 The influence of a living tradition on current conditions in Baja https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46024
I would like to describe a very interesting phenomenon in my study. The cult of fish juice in Baja has culturally integrated the local society for a long time, but at the same time it has become a politically disintegrating factor. „The Baja Fish Soup Cooking Festival” in Baja was created in 1996 in order to mark the 300 anniversary of ists status as a city. The main architects of the event were local cultur euthusiasts and range of orther interested parties, including the mayor, local business people. Its original name is „Halászlé Festival in the Capital of Halászlé”. The event is repeated every year. Cooking the fish soup and related customs strongly determine the identification of the city's citizens, they are important symbols of belonging to the community, and an integrating force. On the other hand, its role in tourism is significant and shows development. participation.

Tamás Brachinger Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 101 119 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.101-119 Bring Your Ideas to Life! – Digital Playground in the Library https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/46016
The "Bring Your Ideas to Life!" project by the Somogyi Library supports the development of digital and reading comprehension skills among young people in an innovative way. The program integrates the analysis of literary works with digital activities, connecting reading through building robots and using digital tools.

The project presents several challenges for libraries due to the rapidly changing technological environment: financing the expansion of equipment, training professionals, and monitoring and improving the program's effectiveness.

Digital opportunities also offer new pathways. The integration of new technologies is crucial for libraries to keep up with the demands of the digital age and to ensure the provision of relevant services.
Ildikó Piri Copyright (c) 2025 Community Connections – Studies on Culture and Education 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 4 2 120 136 10.14232/kapocs.2024.2.120-136 Displays and needleworks https://analecta.hu/index.php/kapocs/article/view/45914
The sources of inspiration for students from generation Z in their search for educational and illustrative tools consists primarily in the social media (mainly Pinterest, Tik-Tok and Instagram), but these interfaces can only be used with appropriate critical reflection.
